Wednesday November 28th – The Whole30 Is Coming To An End!

The Whole30 is now just a couple of days away from completion. There’s a few very important things I wanted to talk about before we finish up:

1#: Be honest, did you make it? No slips allowed remember? Whether you made it or not is not as important as discovering why you fell off track. Did you commit your goals to paper? Did you read the book front to back? Did you seek help from your family and friends? Most importantly, did you spend time in compilation, figuring out why you’re doing this in the first place?

With a big enough “why” or “reason” like me, you too will find it extremely easy to do the 30 days. I simply told myself that if I can’t do this how can I expect others to follow suit. And guess what, my mind never faltered even for a second. Making your lives better is far more important to me than any piece of pie, any flavour of ice cream, and any bottle of wine.

I’ve been told several times throughout my life that I have great discipline. I strongly believe that it’s not discipline that helps me to achieve my goals and desires. It is nothing more than clearly understanding what I want, why I want it, and what I have to do to get it. So if you need to try again, find your “why” first and when you’ve found it, you’ll have no troubles.

At any rate, I’m proud of everyone who tried and i’m extremely proud of everyone who made it. You all deserve a huge hug!

#2: Next, before it’s over please re-read the last four pages of your Whole30 success guide book, “Life After The Whole30” and develop your strategy and plan for easing back into some “forbidden” items.

#3: Enter to win and be the Whole30 champion:

Whether you completed the full thirty days or not, please write down your personal experience with the challenge and submit it to errol@rockypointcrossfit.ca, with a before / after pic to win a couple of free shirts and a workout named in your honor. Let us know about your changes, your mood, energy levels, skin, digestion, sleep, challenges, perceptions etc… What was hard? What was easy? What was your favorite meal? You get the picture. PS The before picture can be any pic from the past, it doesn’t have to be taken the day it started. The after must be taken within the next week.

The submissions will be judge by Tom, Errol, and Michale to decide upon the winner.

#4: Congratulate yourself and be proud of what you just accomplished! Look to the next 30 days, what will you accomplish now? What is another healthy daily habit you can embark in? Stretching everyday for 15mins? Morning meditation for 30mins? Call someone close to you and tell them you love them for 30 days straight? Read every evening for an 1hrs? How about no TV for a month? You decide, have fun with it!

10 Minutes working on back roll. If you are getting comfortable with the backroll, it is time to take it to the next level and try and extend that finish. Check the clip for progression.
