Creamy, soft, delicious, and nutritious! Easy and fast to make. Great for any Italian based food! It really is amazing how delicious Pesto is. Even though it is made with a small amount of ingredients, they really do pack a punch! This recipe isn’t 100% paleo, but a little cheese now and then is OK! Defiantly do not eat this pesto before or during date night. We honestly made 22 bunches of basil. We always seem to go to the extreme around here.  But I love it!

Pesto Sauce

4 garlic cloves, crushed

2 cups of basil leaves

1/2 cups fresh parmesan cheese

1/4 cups pine nuts

1/2 olive oil


Pull leaves off steams- if necessary wash and then spin dry.

Combine garlic, basil, cheese and nuts in a blender and puree. With the machine still running slowly, add the oil through the feed tube in a slow, steady steam until mixture is the consistency of thick mayonnaise.

Pesto freezes very nicely. Toss the pesto into a ziplock freezer bag, let out the air and press till flat, store in freezer until ready to use.
