This is just one of the many highlights from this past weekend at the Canada West Regional CrossFit Games. At the beginning of the week, Cindy hadn’t completed a 135lb Hang Clean. The photo above is Cindy nailing the last of 15 135lb Hang Cleans!

It was a great weekend to watch the athletes from Rocky point CrossFit compete against the best in Canada West.

Joe finished 20th and Nathan was 26th. Click here to see the breakdown on the leaderboard.

Our team of Viki, Stacey, Cindy, Casey, Ty and Errol finished 17th!

Cindy wasn’t the only one to crank out multiple PRs during the Hang Clean. Ty stepped up and screamed out 6 X 225lb Hang Cleans! Pure determination!

The 3rd event on Saturday morning saw several teams eliminated from the competition as they were unable to complete the minimum requirements of 10 X 100/70lb dumbbell snatch. Viki and Casey kept us in the running with powerful performances.

Of course, getting to spend the weekend with a lot of good peeps from Rocky Point CrossFit made for a good time!

Today is a “Rest Day”. Thought you’d like to get a taste of what took place on the weekend. Today’s workout is a partner WOD!

With one partner working at a time complete:

60 Back Squats (135/95)
40 Pullups
20 Shoulder to Overhead (135/95)
60 Front Squats (85/65)
40 Pullups
20 Shoulder to Overhead (85/65)
60 Overhead Squats (65/45)
40 Pullups
20 Shoulder to Overhead (65/45)

There is a 25 minute time cap on this one.

The weights above were the weights used during the Games. Scale as necessary! Necessary = Mechanics and Intensity are maintained throughout. Giving up your back is not an option!
