First of all I want to tell you how much I love Whistler! A couple of weeks ago, I conveniently stumbled upon the farmer’s market when I was up in Whistler for Cranxworks. It’s sad, but I literally never make it to the farmer’s market … for some reason, I always forget or don’t prioritize it. They are usually on Sundays which is literally my only day that I don’t have to get up and out of the house by 6am. But I guess I choose this lifestyle so I shouldn’t complain. This time, it worked out like a charm! I left the market with a few goodies and I think it’ll help me to go regularly from now on.
The farmers market featured local produce from the Pemberton Valley and beyond. So many local fresh items! Everything from potters to carrots. There were food vendors, artist, and of-course face painting for the kiddies. My purchases included fruit and coffee, two of my favorite things. Make sure you get out to our local tri-cities farmers markets before the end of the summer season. We have one located in Coquitlam, that runs on Sundays from 9:00am – 1:00pm at Dogwood Pavilion parking lot (Poirier and Winslow Streets), 624 Poirier Street. The Coquitlam farmers market will be open till October 28, 2012.
